The approval process for solar panels is covered under Springmill Crossing's Architectural Guidelines, which state that the Architectural Committee "shall approve or disapprove plans and specifications for all exterior improvements on the subject lots including but not limited to fences, swing sets, playhouses, additions, swimming pools, and solar panels." Before the Committee decides whether or not an improvement will be approved, the Committee has established the following procedures which must be followed before the proposed improvement is even considered:
If the solar panel request (via Construction Approval Form) is denied by the Architectural Committee, the property owner has the right, under Indiana Law, the owner can petition the Association’s members to overcome those limitations.
