Snow removal and salting on all streets in Springmill Crossing is handled by the City of Carmel. City plow drivers will plow when they do a full city plow, which is after three inches of snow have fallen.
When Carmel does a full city plow, Springmill Blvd. and Silver Stream Dr. will be cleared first, but it may take a few hours to get to the smaller side streets and cul-de-sacs depending on the severity of the snowfall. The City will always prioritize keeping main and secondary roads clear but will get to the smaller roads when their crews are all caught up. Springmill Blvd. and Silver Stream Dr. are “secondary roads.”
Sidewalks in front of your house are your responsibility to keep clear, and frozen retention ponds near the SMX pool are strictly off limits to sledders and ice skaters.
Please mark the edges of your yard with reflector poles to provide visibility for snowplow trucks, especially on curves. Please refrain from parking on the streets during snowstorms and don’t shovel or blow snow back into the street from your driveway entrances after the plows go through.
